VinoUS Media Review
Rated 92-94
The 2018 Zinfandel Dogtown Vineyard is rich and explosive in the glass, with gorgeous floral top notes that add brightness to the sweet red cherry, plum, pomegranate and blood orange flavors. Medium in body and polished, the 2018 is terrific. (Antonio Galloni)
Wine Tasting Notes
Planted in 1944, the Dogtown Vineyard is farmed by Turley Wine Cellars. This head-trained, own-rooted vineyard is technically within the Clements Hills AVA, which has more topography than the rest of Lodi. The rolling hills are composed of clay & volcanic soils, and vine yields are extremely low. The wine is characterized by dark red fruit flavors, spice & black tea.
