VinoUS Media Review
Rated 92-94
The 2021 Zinfandel Del Barba emerges from a site that formerly was used for the Duarte bottling. Bright and punchy, with gorgeous purity, the 2021 is positively stellar. Bright red/purplish Zinfandel fruit, blood orange and exotic spice abound. This is such a compelling wine. The 2021 hugely overdelivers. Drinking Window: 2024-2036. (Antonio Galloni, January 2023)
Wine Tasting Notes
Hailing from head-trained vines planted in the deep dehli blow sands of Contra Costa. Vibrant and dazzling on the nose, with plum, blood orange, lively spice, and mouthwatering smoked meats. The texture is a knockout: super smooth, silky and supple, with excellent acidity. Utterly enthralling, and a wine we want to revisit repeatedly.
