Cynar is an Italian aperitif created from thirteen herbs and plants, artichoke being the most predominant. The color is dark brown and the flavoring is bittersweet. Like most aperitifs, Cynar may be served over ice or mixed in a cocktail with soda water and a citrus wedge. Europeans often consume Cynar with orange juice. However, Cynar is quite versatile as it may also be mixed with beer. Only moderately alcoholic (16.5%) Cynar is a modern and versatile drink that is always welcome.

This is a great change-up from Campari for a twist on a negroni etc. Since moving to a smaller town it's been tough to find at the bars and it's great to have our very own bottle at home. Thanks!
