Breaking Bad stars, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, are back together! And it isn’t for the highly anticipated Breaking Bad movie. For now. The two recently announced a new line of mezcal, called Dos Hombres, an artisanal mezcal made by hand in Mexico. This is a project they have been teasing for months, generating a flurry of rumors as to what the project could be.
The two actors came up with the idea three years ago over sushi in New York City, while talking about potential collaborations that could take place in the future. “We had the time of our lives while shooting Breaking Bad and truly built a very special bond. Knowing that we couldn’t share the screen for quite a while - our thoughts turned to a new project” said Paul, via Instagram.
Joining a growing list of celebrity excursions into the spirits business, Cranston and Paul scoured the Mexican landscape together and found a small village from which to source their mezcal. Paul also said the mezcal had to be perfect or the project would not take off. “We found it and it was perfect,” continued Paul.
Dos Hombres, reflects the bond and journey the two men continue to share, and while it isn’t an on-screen Breaking Bad reunion, it is nice to see the two friends working together again. Let’s hope they are as good at making mezcal as their characters are at making their famous “baby blue”.
