Wine Spectator Review
Rated 93
Ripe and juicy but restrained in style, with the core of black cherry and raspberry notes taking equal turns with dried anise, red and black tea and chaparral hints. Keeps a juicy edge through the finish, with a smoldering intensity. Drink now through 2029.
Wine Tasting Notes
The Sanford Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir is a blend of Pinot from all three of our vineyards in the esteemed Santa Rita Hills AVA. A mix of vineyard blocks and several different clones gives this wine added complexity. The wine is deep violet red in color and is bursting with black cherry, plum, and clove on the nose. The palate delivers cherry flavors framed nicely by bright acidity and supple tannins.
