James Suckling Review
Rated 93
This is very tight with lots of walnut oil to the red fruit on the nose and palate. Medium-to full-bodied with very fine, rather laid-back tannins and fresher red berries coming through on the finish. A finely wrought, graceful wine that promises more complexity with a couple of years of aging. Best from 2024.
Wine Tasting Notes
Garnet color with slight orange reflections, a shade or two deeper than the Brunate;. the Marcarini Barolo La Serra DOCG bouquet is typical of the La Serra cru, intense floral notes of rose, violet petals, and mountain flowers, creat an ethereal and appealing bouquet. The wine is dry and sturdy on the palate, austere yet velvety, and extremely well-balanced.
