In the stony foothills of "The Andes" where the sky is heated and the sun is spirited, the open landscape is vast. Even time moves slow, like an infinite hourglasses dripping grains of sand at a crawling pace. In this vast kingdom the energy, water and nutrients from the deepest part of the King's land are waiting to be released. The King is generous, wise and eternal...the almighty sovereign of the vines. By decree, the world is granted the magnificent one...King Malbec.
Wine Tasting Notes
Deeply red with violet hues and aromas of ripe red fruits, cassis and pepper. Sweet on the palate, friendly tannins with spicy flavors.
Vintage Notes
The 2019 vintage will go down as one of the best vintages of the decade with both red and white wines showing outstanding quality. In general, the wines of the vintage should be classified as very good to excellent quality. After a notably cool and dry spring, the cool temperatures and dry conditions continued throughout the growing season, allowing the grapes to hang on the vine and ripen 1-3 weeks longer than normal. This prolonged growing season allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, with the cool temperatures and dry conditions producing lower yields. The result was a great balance between aromatic expression and concentration of color and tannins. The wines display elegance and balance with fresh acidity and superb aging potential.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Pairs perfectly with grilled steaks, burgers, and braised meat dishes, as well as aged, hard cheeses.
100% Malbec
Alcohol 13.4%
