The 2020 Aglianico Rubrato is cool-toned yet dark-natured, with a bouquet of crushed blackberries, sage and dusty earth wafting up from the glass. This flows across the palate with ease, soft-textured yet sleek, with mineral-laced red and black fruits that slowly saturate. Grippy tannins mingle with salted licorice and steeped plums as the 2020 tapers off long and surprisingly fresh. The Rubrato is beautifully balanced and will be best served alongside a meal. Drink 2025-2028.
