Wine Tasting Notes
Marsala is a unique wine made only in Western Sicily. Catarratto, Grillo and Inzolia grapes are meticulously brought together and aged in oak casks to give the wine its warm amber color, an alluring bouquet and the full-bodied taste that is famous worldwide. The period of aging in oak is a minimum of one year by law but Colombo wines are aged longer. Marsala is enjoyed as an apertif, a dessert wine or just as a leisure wine. Used also by gourmet chefs, Marsala is the perfect wine ingredient in a variety of recipes.
