Wine Advocate Review
Rated 91
The estate's special cuvee, the 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Choregies is a smoking blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah that spends 14 months in 80% new demi-muids and 20% in 300-liter barrels. It possesses a deep purple color to go with ripe, decadent notes of mulled dark fruits, wild herbs, roasted meats and hints of gaminess on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, balanced and textured, it has rock solid mid-palate depth and building tannin, all saying it will evolve nicely for over a decade. It's well worth checking out.
Wine Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red color. Intense bouquet of ripe fruits (cherry, black cherry), with hints of fresh vanilla, sweet spices and provencal herbs. Full-bodied palate, very silky with pure aromas of jammy fruit (strawberry, blackberry) and spicy notes. Superb finish with very elegant tannins.
70% Grenache, 15% Syrah & 15% Mourvedre.
