Another excellent Haut-Medoc that is rich and fleshy, but has lively acidity and a very attractive, minty freshness. The polished tannins give it plenty of drive at the long, mineral finish. Drink or hold.
Wine Tasting Notes
Chateau Du Cartillon 2016 is characterized by a garnet color, sustained and brilliant with ruby nuances. The nose is complex, fruity and persistent, with aromas of cherry and cocoa jams. On the palate, the wine is supple and balanced with hints of cherry jam and licorice.
46% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Petit Verdot
