Whether you're here because you love Casamigos or want to get to know the brand better, we're here to help! Here's a brief introduction and some delicious cocktail recipes to help you get acquainted with all that the Casamigos brand has to offer!
The History Behind The Casamigos Brand
Now, I know that we all mainly associate Casamigos Tequila with George Clooney, but there's so much more where that came from.
The tequila brand was also started by Clooney's friend Rande Gerber. Casamigos was born after many nights filled with great tequila and company. After enjoying their fair share of tequila in Mexico, the two friends set out to make the best-tasting and smoothest tequila.
But there's a twist. Casamigos was initially only made for the men to enjoy with their friends and family. They never meant to take it to the market. But after working with a distiller in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, and enjoying their creation for years, they decided to go public. And now, Casamigos is an award-winning, small-batch premium tequila for everyone to enjoy!
What do you think? Did they meet their goal? Is Casamigos the best-tasting and smoothest tequila on the market?

Behind The Tequila-Making Process
Let's transport ourselves to Jalisco, Mexico, where the agave, blue weber agaves grown from the rich red clay soil, is used to make Casamigos Tequila. The agaves thrive in the cool climate of Jalisco.
Made with 100% Blue Weber agave, Casamigos products go through quite an extensive process. After being handpicked, the agave piñas are roasted in traditional brick ovens. Then the slow and tedious process of fermentation begins to give Casamigos its remarkable flavor.
The Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Reposado Tequila, and Añejo Tequila each have a unique aroma and flavor profile. Enjoy them chilled, over ice, or in a cocktail!
Behind The Mezcal-Making Process
The Casamigos Mezcal goes through a different process than the tequila. First, let's leave Jalisco and go to Oaxaca, Mexico.
The Casamigos Mezcal is made with 100% Espadin agaves. Whereas tequila can only be called tequila if it's made using Blue Weber agave, mezcal has a variety of different options when it comes to agave. After being handpicked, the piñas are smoked underground for four to six days. After they're cooled, they're crushed. Then, the fermentation process takes six to eight days. The Casamigos Mezcal is distilled twice.
