An excellent introduction to the red wines of Beaune, this has full red-fruit and earthy character with hints of spicy oak and licorice. A crowd-pleasing balance of generosity and moderately dry tannins on the palate with good length. Should age well. Drink or hold.

Bouchard Pere & Fils Beaune de Chateau Premier Cru Pinot Noir offers nice dark garnet color with brown to mauve shades. Complex bouquet associating perfumes of jammy red fruit, fig, peony with a hint of chocolate. Harmonious and deep palate, with a beautiful maturity and dense but fine tannins. An attractive wine.
