What Yellowstone Whiskey Is All About

Whether you're here because you've been watching too much Yellowstone or just simply a fan of good whiskey, let's get to know Yellowstone Whiskey together!

Seventh Generation Distillers

Does the name Jim Beam ring a bell? I thought it might. The founders of Yellowstone Whiskey, Stephen and Paul Beam, are related to the famous Beam family! Minor Case, their grandfather, was Jacob Beam's first cousin, the founder of Jim Beam whiskey. Here we are seven generations later and the whiskey-making continues to branch out!

The more I learn about the whiskey world, the more I realize it's a small world!

In October of 2010, the Beam brothers decided to launch their way into the whiskey world with Limestone Branch Distillery, Inc. With some funding from their immediate family, the Beam brothers went for it.

Years later and here we are, award-winning whiskey with handpicked blends and flavors from seventh-generation whiskey makers.

Limestone Branch Distillery

The Limestone Branch Distillery is located in Lebanon, Kentucky. The name? The distillery gets its name from the limestone waters and local grain that are available in the area. They consider the Limestone Branch Distillery to be a branch on the family tree of whiskey makers.

The distillery also offers tours where you can explore the history of their family's whiskey-making. You can explore and appreciate artifacts from the family's history.

You're probably wondering if there's a connection between the whiskey and the national park. Limestone Branch Distillery is adamant about protecting national parks. With every bottle that is purchased, a portion of the proceeds goes to the NPCA, National Parks Conservation Association.

Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The whiskey in question is a fusion of flavors that honors its deep family origins. The whiskey combines 4-year-old and 7-year-old bourbons to create the perfect balance. With a palate of rye spice and smoked caramel and notes of soft, leathered cherries, the finish is exquisite with smoky oak and brown sugar.

Yellowstone Select has won multiple awards, some including Gold Medals at the SIP Awards 2018 and the L.A. Spirits Award in 2020.

Yellowstone Limited Edition

The Limestone Branch Distillery also makes a limited edition bottle. Although the bottle varies from year to year, Yellowstone brings you a high-quality bottle each year.

The 2021 limited edition bottle showcases both 7-year-old and 15-year-old bourbons with tasting notes of cherries, black currants, and oxidized fruits.

With a palate of caramel and vanilla, the finish exudes flavors of cherries and black currants. You can taste the subtle complexities.
