Red, White, and Blue Margarita #1

What better way to kick off our 4th of July drinks than with the most festive of the bunch, the Red, White, and Blue Margarita! It may sound intimidating, but it's easier than you think! Start with:

Ice

Silver Tequila

Triple Sec

(Blue Layer) Blue Curacao

(Red Layer) Grenadine

(White Layer) Lime Juice

For the red layer, blend your ice, tequila, triple sec, and grenadine. Layer in the bottle of your glass 1/3 of the way up! For the white layer, combine your ice, tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Layer until 2/3 of the glass is full! Layer slowly to avoid mixing the red and white layers! And finally, for the blue layer, blend your ice, tequila, triple sec, and blue curaçao. Layer slowly until the glass is full! Enjoy!

How much of each ingredient is up to you, but if you need a guide, I'll give you one. 3 parts ice, 2 parts tequila, 1 part triple sec, and 2 parts of the blue curaçao/grenadine/lime juice!

Red, White, and Blue Margarita #2

There are two ways to make this infamous margarita! Out of grenadine and blue curaçao? Use strawberries and blueberries instead! If you'd rather throw some fruit in the mix, you'll need:

Silver Tequila

Triple Sec

Frozen Strawberries

Frozen Blueberries

Lime Juice

Okay, same concept! For the red layer, blend your ice, tequila, triple sec, and strawberries. Layer in the bottom of the glass 1/3 of the way up. For the white layer, mix your ice, tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Layer until 2/3 of the glass is full. Again, go slowly so to avoid mixing the red and white layers. And finally, for the blue layer, your ice, tequila, triple sec, and blueberries. Layer until the glass is full! Enjoy!

Red, White, and Blue Layered Shot

Grab your shot glasses and spoons for this one! It's fast and easy, but it requires some patience! You made even need a few practice rounds before getting these perfect. Here's what you'll need:

1 part Grenadine

1 part Peach Schnapps

1 part Blue Curaçao

  1. First, take your grenadine and pour 1/3 of the way up.
  2. Next, take your Peach Schnapps and slowly pour over the back of a spoon. This technique will keep your layers separated. Remember, pour slowly!
  3. Finally, take your Blue Curaçao and slowly pour over the back of a spoon!
  4. That's all there is to it! Enjoy it!

Red, White, and Blue Jello Shots

Jello Shots are a fun, popular option! These are a little more time-consuming than the rest, so you'll need to prep the night before. Jello takes time! You'll need:

Non-Alcoholic: If you want to make a non-alcoholic jello shot option, follow these steps and substitute the vodka with more water! Follow jello packaging instructions for the best results!

1 Berry Blue Jello mix

1 Strawberry Jello mix (Or Cherry)

3 cups Clear Vodka (You can go less if you don't want them to be too boozy!)

2 Unflavored Gelatin mix

Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 oz.)

Boiling Water

Okay, stay with me. We're going to break this down into steps!

  1. Make some room in your refrigerator! You'll thank me later!
  2. Boil water. In total, you'll need 4 cups of boiling water.
  3. Starting with your red layer! Take your red jello mix and pour in one cup of boiling water! After it's mixed, add a cup of your clear vodka! After it cools a bit, pour your mixture into little plastic shot glasses, just 1/3 of the way! Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Next, move on to your white layer! For the white layer, take your two packets of unflavored gelatin and mix with two cups of boiling water! When everything is well-combined, add your 14 oz. of sweetened condensed milk. Mix well. Wait until your mixture cools a bit! Then, add another layer until shot is 2/3 full. Refrigerate for at least another hour!
  5. And finally, the blue layer! Take your blue jello mix and pour in one cup of boiling water. Mix well. Add 1 cup of clear vodka and mix again. Wait until cool! Add your final layer to your shots! Refrigerate until the blue layer sets for at least an hour!
  6. Refrigerate again!
  7. Once everything is solid and jello-like, you can top your jello shots off with whipped cream and red, white, and blue sprinkles!
  8. Finally, enjoy some jello shots with your guests!

Strawberry Daiquiri

Summertime is the perfect time for a refreshing daiquiri. For this delicious strawberry daiquiri, you'll need:

2 cups Frozen Strawberries

1/4 cup of Simple Syrup

Ice

Sea Salt

If this doesn't feel festive enough, throw a little American flag in the glass! An American flag will make anything patriotic! Or top with some fresh strawberries and blueberries!

Boozy Lemonade
