The Glenlivet 15 Year Old French Oak Speyside Single Malt Scotch shows deep gold, with intense late afternoon summer sunshine shades. Creamy and rich. Resinous fragrances swirl up before melting into a citrus fruit salad bowl. Orange peel and candied grapefruit aromas. Then, the bouquet opens on buttery notes. Shortbread, almond brandy snaps, vanilla toffee, fudge sauce. A dry spicy echo with a touch of liquorice resonates in the back. Round, sweet, incredibly smooth and velvety. Wood is entirely integrated but present all the way, sweetly enveloping fruity and nutty flavors in an oaky shell. Luscious chocolate fudge lingers on. Lingering with traces of toasted hazelnuts and lightly smoked almonds.
80 Proof Single Malt Scotch
Wonderful single malt, and a great price for a 15-year old. Great aroma. First sip is not at all harsh, rather it is a mellow, mildly honeyed feel. After you swallow, the warm mellow feel remains in your mouth. I drink this straight, no water or ice, at room temperature. It makes a great compliment to a nice pipe of tobacco on a relaxing evening.24th Dec 2018
It is sweeter than Glenfidich and much smoother as well. Price varies so much by states and sometimes hard to find but worht the trouble. Best to drink straight with a drop of spring water.24th Jul 2017
