The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Pich is a terrific introductory-level wine from Julien Fayard. A rich, opulent wine, Le Pich offers up a compelling mélange of black cherry, plum, chocolate, cloves, new leather and licorice. This bold, sumptuous Cabernet delivers the goods, big time. Purlieu Le Pich Napa Cabernet blends dark fruit with complex earth tones into a satisfying and versatile wine. The nose opens with ripe boysenberries, berry bramble and a hint of forest floor, then brightens into an energetic palate of black and red cherries, graphite and dried mint. Fresh berry patch-scented tannins support the fruit through a mineral-driven finish layered with raspberry preserves.
