Maker's Mark Private Selection is a unique wood-finishing series that was created for collaborations like this one. Teaming up with the Lakers to craft this special expression and that's what you'll find inside this bottle.
To celebrate the Lakers' 17th championship, Maker's Mark worked with longtime Lakers fans and season-ticket members as well as key members of the Lakers organization - including a Lakers' Legend - to create one custom recipe for 17 special barrels.
For this expression, fully matured Maker's Mark aged an additional nine weeks in 17 different barrels with a combination of eight roasted French Mendiant staves and two Toasted French Spice staves chosen by a team of Lakers fanatics.
The result is an expression full of rich chocolate and dried fruit notes that finishes with a layer of warming spice.
