Aged for sixteen years and finished in sherry casks, this limited edition whisky is one of the boldest and most intense whiskies ever made.
Intense aroma of peaty smoke, wood spices and Earl Gray tea. Notes of peat, rich smoke and salty tang, which are balanced by subtle hints of vanilla and honeyed oak. Finish is incredible and intense, with complex notes of sweet caramel and fruits belying bolder notes of peat and smoke.

I would spend the extra money on this over the 16 year old Lagavulin. I used to drink Lagavulin regularly back in the late nineties early 2000's. It was smoky and wonderful, with an incomparable, long, delicious, special, finish. More recent bottles I have had just didn't seem to have that certain je ne sais quoi of the older nineties Lagavulin. I would spend the extra money for an extra special drop. If it really is like the nineties and early 2000's 16 year old Lagavulin, it will be worth the money. You have to really like smoky tasting Scotch though. It is loaded with peat smoke and fabulous. If you are also a smoker of fine cigars, as I am, I think you will like this very much.
