Slightly more expensive and brought up all in 500-liter French oak, the 2017 Malleolus is another fresh, lively wine from this estate that has plenty to love. Giving up plenty of blackberry and mulberry fruits as well as notes of violets, lead pencil, and spice, it's medium to full-bodied, has a juicy spine of acidity, terrific balance, a great finish. The oak is nicely integrated, and while it offers ample pleasure today, it's going to drink well for at least 15 years. Drink 2020-2035.

Malleolus stands out from the very first moment by its intense color. In the nose it is also intense, opulent and fragrant, emphasizing a base of varietals enriched with nuances of noble wood, balsamic and spices. In the mouth it is powerful, silky and enveloping with a long and persistent finish.
