James Suckling Review
Rated 93
The ripe berries with delicate chocolate and hazelnut undertones are very attractive, as are the dusty tannins and herbal, berry and light tobacco undertones at the finish. Just a little more time will make it all the better. Try after 2021.
Wine Tasting Notes
With deep ruby hues, it has a rich fruit aroma of red berries and soft smoky toast. Full-bodied wine, big and rich with ripe notes of raspberry, cinnamon and plum. The inherent sweetness of the Merlot acts as a bridge between the firm earthiness of the Sangiovese grape, the spicy blackcurrant of the Cabernet and the warm red fruit of the Syrah. Terrifically paired with homemade pastas, meat sauces, mushroom based sauces and/or tartufo.
